Evening Colors blossoms midsummer to frost, her largest heads bobbing at the top with dozens of smaller flowers on long, strong secondaries perfect for cutting.
If you want the tallest sunflowers you’ve ever seen, sow Evening Colors with a shovel or three of compost! In average soil, she’ll rise eight feet tall; at Fruition Seeds she averages fifteen feet tall.
Organic Evening Colors Sunflower
When to sow (Direct Seed recommended): After final frost, sow 2 seeds every 18-24 inches and thin to one. To Transplant, sow indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost. Harden off 5 days and transplant after final frost.
Seeding Depth: 1/2 inch
Full Sun Days to Germination: 7-10 days at 70-75F
Plant spacing after thinning: 18-24 inches.
Days to Flower: 70 Height: 7-9 feet
