Transcript: “Welcome, I’m so delighted that you’ve joined us and I am thrilled to share with you everything that I’ve learned about growing gorgeous garlic and shallots. It is far from foolproof, but it is so rewarding. And it’s pretty easy once you get into the routine of the seasons. And I’m sure after you have all of this access to all these video tutorials for the next year, and ask all the questions which I hope that you do, you will be set up for so much success, so much abundance for this and so many seasons to come.
I’m Petra. I’m Petra Page-Mann. And I grew up in my father’s garden, which in fact is 10 miles north. And I spent the first many years of my life growing garlic with him. And I was so proud of it. It was so delicious. And I remember when I was young, going into grocery stores and thinking wow, they have really big nice guy like here, and then I remembered when I started I started to work on organic farms about 20 years ago, I thought to myself, wow, the garlic they sell in grocery stores is really small. And in fact, it kind of is. So I totally grew up growing garlic and I totally loved it. And I’m quite sure it was insanely small and I would have loved to know what I know now when I was seven years old. So I’m delighted to share with you everything that I’ve learned in many years of working on organic farms around the country and around the world and of course, growing garlic on our farm here at Fruition Seeds since 2012. And we have learned so much from our friends and mentors.
We’ve also learned so much the hard way, and I’m delighted to share it all with you in hopes that it will shorten your learning curves and surround you with that much more abundance and beauty for many years to come.”
