Friends, rather than selling and shipping seeds, we now share seeds as an embodied gift practice. Learn how to receive seeds from us & here are our FAQs.
NATIVE Like extraordinary lace, Phacelia’s fern-like leaves unfurl dramatic lavender blossoms like fiddleheads, her bright purple pollen attracting flocks of beneficial pollinators. Easy to grow in gardens and raised beds as well as containers, phacelia is one of our favorite native flowers and the bees quite agree!
For consistent nectar throughout the season, sow each month until 2 months before first frost. Phacelia is remarkably frost tolerant!
When to sow (Transplant recommended): Indoors 4 weeks before last frost (at Fruition we use soil blocks). Transplant into larger containers when the first true leaves appear. Transplant after last frost. To Direct Sow: Sow 4 seeds per foot as soon as soil can be worked. Cover lightly & keep moist. When seedlings have first true leaves, thin.
