Friends, rather than selling and shipping seeds, we now share seeds as an embodied gift practice. Learn how to receive seeds from us & here are our FAQs.
Easy to grow and exquisitely delicious, the soft & fern-like foliage and unlikely (extraordinary!) flowers of black cumin are short, often under 2 feet, thriving in gardens as well as raised beds and containers, even with partial sun. Black cumin, or kalonji, is distinctly different from brown cumin with its own characteristic flavor reminiscent of toasted onion flake umami. At Fruition, we sow organic black cumin seeds in soil blocks indoors 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost.
