Friends, rather than selling and shipping seeds, we now share seeds as an embodied gift practice. Learn how to receive seeds from us & here are our FAQs.
There are few garden vegetables more rewarding (or challenging!) to grow here in Zone 5 in the Finger Lakes than broccoli. At Fruition Seeds, broccoli thrives in the warmth of late spring and early fall, struggling in the summer heat. We sow our spring broccoli in soil blocks in early April to transplant out in early May. In spring we cover with hoops and floating row cover to minimize flea beetle munchings. We sow our fall broccoli in mid-July to transplant in early August for an autumn harvest.
