Each year we grow thousands of pounds of glorious tomatoes to share the regionally-adaptive seeds in side…
…so each season we welcome you to the farm to harvest, savor and squeeze tomato seeds! Everyone goes home with lots of scrumptiously seedless tomato flesh ready to become salsa, sauce and beyond.
In 2024, in the final days before Fruition would stop selling seeds and fully commit to sharing seeds cultivating gift culture, dozens and dozens of hands and hearts from near and far, young and old across 3+ generations, joined us in the fields.
One of my favorite moments was watching a young girl fill a gallon jar with these gems of brand new and yet-to-be named cherry tomatoes from Cornell:
Exclaiming how beautiful they were as she tucked back into the foliage to harvest more, she said:
“They might be brand new but they know what to do.”
And Friends, as we move into a brand new chapter together, might we dare to trust that we ‘know’ enough, too?
Though we don’t know exactly what will happen next, might we trust that giving and receiving beyond ledgers and lifetimes is how seeds have made the earth abundantly green for 400 million years and counting? And might we do the same?
A baby bird doesn’t need to ‘know’ how to fly as much as they need to breathe, practice, and trust in community and Friends, we trust you.
As we remember and reimagine our relationship with seeds, ourselves and each other:
Thanks for growing with us in all the ways
