HEIRLOOM Effervescently cheerful and impressively resilient, Cleome attracts beneficial pollinators from near and far for months on end. In fertile soil, cleome can easily grow 5′ beautifully swaying in the wind, though her strong stems have thorns making her unrealistic for cutting. All the more reasons to enjoy her all season! And your honeybees agree.
When to sow: Freeze seeds for one week before sowing; For transplanting, sow indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost, sowing 2 seeds per cell thinned to 1 when true leaves emerge (harden off and transplant after last frost); Or, direct seed after last frost, sowing 2-3 seeds per foot
