Van Gogh would swoon!
Stunning and so easy to grow, each magenta-lined ivory blossom sways in even the slightest breeze. The plants themselves are elegant as well, their fern-like lime-green foliage often reaching four feet tall, blossoming from July all the way to frost. Her long stems make Double Take an ideal cut flower, as well! Butterflies float over the flowers all day as goldfinches lunch on her seeds. Cosmos seeds are easy to collect with plenty to share, so you’ll enjoy her for years if not generations to come!
When to sow: Direct seeding is recommended, after last frost, shallowly sowing 4 seeds per foot
Or, to transplant, sow indoors in soil blocks 4 weeks before last frost, keeping soil surface moist until emergence. When seedlings have true leaves, transplant into larger containers. Transplant out after frost danger.
