Gorgeously massive heads with huge seeds, Standfast is perfect for growing your own sunflower seeds for snacking and birdseed. Her stocky 5-foot sunflowers ‘stand fast’ as each impressive head (often 16″ across!) mature hundreds of delectable seeds. Standfast was selected by our friend and mentor Will Bonsall in Maine for years, building on the foundation of thousands of years of indigenous plant breeding. Will generously offered us a handful of seeds in 2012 to share with the world and here we are!
