Massively tall, Scrumptious Umbers has lots of strong secondary branches with large flowers perfect for bouquets. Pollinators flock to their abundant blooms and if you want even taller sunflowers, sow Scrumptious Umbers with a shovel or three of compost!
Planting Method: Direct Sow Recommended
To Direct Sow: After final frost, sow 2 seeds every 18-24 inches and thin to one.
For Transplanting: Sow indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost. Harden off 5 days and transplant after final frost.
Seed Depth: 1/2 inch Days to Germination: 7-10 days at 70-75°F
Sun Needs: Full Sun
Spacing (after thinning/transplanting): 18-24 inches
Days to Flower: 65-75 Height: 8+ feet
Harvest: Harvest blooms for continued flowering.
