Friends, rather than selling and shipping seeds, we now share seeds as an embodied gift practice. Learn how to receive seeds from us & here are our FAQs.
These massive ivory blooms, like high summer clouds in a sea of green, float above long, strong stems perfect for cutting. Fully double, Giant White is dahlia-like with excellent vase life and impressive abundance. We also love Giant White for her low susceptibility to powdery mildew, so we’re harvesting her copious blooms right up to frost.
To see if a zinnia is at peak harvest for cutting, gently shake the stemm from about eight inches below the bloom. If the stem bends even slightly, it’s not quite ready. Once the stem is stiff, harvest! Zinnias thrive in gardens as well as raised beds and containers & the more you harvest, the more they bloom!
Transplant (recommended): Sow indoors 4 weeks before last frost, keeping soil surface moist until emergence. At Fruition we sow in soil blocks, and a heat mat will help maintain an accurate temperature. If not using soil blocks, transplant into larger containers when seedlings have true leaves (avoid plants becoming root bound).
