HEIRLOOM Whimsical and other-worldly, Black Beauty is exquisitely dramatic both as a flower and fascinating seed pod. Tolerant of many soil types, scabiosa is easy to grow and impressively abundant even in short seasons. We love to watch the diversity of beneficial pollinators flocking to her prolific blooms, including lacewings and ladybugs as well as butterflies.
When to sow (Transplant only): Sow indoors ~4 weeks before last frost, 2 seeds/cell.
Mist to avoid covering seeds with displaced soil. Thin to 1 & transplant seedlings after frost.
