Diverse Brassica species
A riot of colors and textures to satisfy your spice tooth! You’ll harvest leaves from lime green to deep purple, from flat to hyper-frill, from sweet dijon to knock-your-socks-off. We love this Mighty Spicy Mesclun Mix with goat cheese and caramelized pecans! With ample water and fertility, you’ll easily enjoy three harvests of this cut-and-come-again mix in gardens, raised beds or containers; under hoops and floating row cover, we’re easily enjoying this mix well into December when sown in September.
Planting Method: Direct Sow Only
When to sow: Early spring as soon as soil can be worked through fall.
Sowing and seedling care: sow ~40 seeds per foot in a 2-4 foot band. Gently firm the soil for full soil-seed contact; keep moisture even.

Days to Germination: 3 at 75°F, 10 at 45°F
Spacing after thinning: 2-5 plants per inch; 2-3 inches for larger greens
Days to Harvest: 8 days microgreen, 21 baby, 40 braising
Harvest: Harvest ~3 weeks after sowing by clipping with scissors; most plants in mix will re-grow. Sow every 2 weeks for a continuous supply of tender baby greens up to 1 month before last frost.
