Succession Sowing in Soil Blocks & Beyond!

Saturday, May 18th 2:30 - 4 pm Fruition Seeds Farm in Naples, NY

Succession sowing is the genius, seamless transition of one crop to the next, amplifying our abundance all season long! As we harvest heads of lettuce, rows of beets, pull out peas and feed bolting cilantro to the chickens, we’re sowing seeds so the abundance doesn’t stop. Together, we’ll explore many succession sowing strategies and send you home with a tray of freshly sown seeds ready to surround you with abundance!

We’ll provide the organic potting mix, trays and labels as well as one packet of seeds (your choice!) with your choice of soil blocks, cell trays and/or cow pots to sow into. Together we’ll sow any other seeds you’d love to bring or purchase in addition to your one packet included in the workshop. Ask all the questions, bring a notebook if you like & come ready to get your hands dirty!

Meet us on the farm (7921 Hickory Bottom Road in Naples) at 2:15; we’ll sow in the mill from 2:30-4!

Sliding Scale Rate Descriptions: Believing all flourishing is mutual, we offer sliding scale rates to increase accessibility and allow all to participate in necessary redistribution for a more equitable, joyful world.

    • Solidarity – Sowing the seeds of mutual aid, we stand in solidarity with individuals surviving systemic, structural oppression. We recognize that in some cases this rate may still not be accessible and please reach out if that is the case!
    • Sow Alongside – Our workshop’s ‘true cost’, where we break even after paying our expenses.
    • Pay It Forward – Every dollar beyond our ‘true cost’ makes it possible for people with less access to financial resources to participate. Thank you for paying it forward as you can!

Would you love to receive these seeds? Rather than selling and shipping, we share seeds as an embodied gift practice.

Very helpful! I planted chives around an apple tree at a previous home and it definitely helped .
